Do I need to use CalMag with Cronk Nutrients?Updated 3 days ago
It depends on which Cronk Nutrient line you’re using.
Bonnie & Clyde (Autoflower Line):
Yes — we recommend using CalMag (2-0-0) alongside Bonnie during the vegetative stage and Clyde during the flowering stage. Autoflowers are fast-growing and tend to show calcium and magnesium deficiencies quickly, especially in coco coir or under LED lighting.
3-Part Base (Micro, Grow, Bloom):
CalMag is not required, as the formula already includes balanced calcium and magnesium levels. However, supplementing once per week can help prevent minor deficiencies in high-demand environments or when using RO (reverse osmosis) water.
PuurOrganics (Organic Line):
CalMag is also not required, but an occasional light supplement can help maintain consistent Ca/Mg availability, particularly in soft water or coco-based mediums.
Pro Tip: Always mix CalMag early in your nutrient solution (after Armadillo Armour if using it) and allow it to sit for 5–10 minutes before adding your base nutrients.
